Pasar Jaya Preps Relocation Site for Kramat Jati Traders

Perumda Pasar Jaya is preparing a temporary relocation site for traders affected by the fire at Kramat Jati Central Market, East Jakarta. This measure is being taken to ensure business continuity following the blaze that razed approximately 350 stalls.

Trading activities will resume immediately

Perumda Pasar Jaya President Director, Agus Himawan stated that the relocation site is situated on the southern side of the Kramat Jati Central Market management office.

"InsyaAllah (God willing), within the next three days, this temporary facility will be ready for use by the traders," he said, at Kramat Jati Central Market, East Jakarta, Monday (12/15).

He explained that based on preliminary assessments, 350 stalls were completely destroyed. As part of the emergency response, Perumda Pasar Jaya deployed 150 portable fire extinguishers (APAR) for initial suppression and utilized the hydrant system available within the market complex.

"We ensure that trading activities will resume immediately. I express my deepest empathy to the traders regarding this unfortunate incident," he clarified.

He assured that Perumda Pasar Jaya is committed to making every effort to assist the traders affected by the fire.

"I once again remind all traders in markets managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya to take precautions against anything that could trigger a fire," he concluded.
